As recollections of the Holocaust and the exodus of Jews from Arab and Muslim lands dim, I have sought out refugees and survivors, including relatives and friends. I have interviewed them about their journeys of hope and flight. I composed still-life photomontages from "the things they carried" and passed down to their children and grandchildren.
Portfolio Series
Charcoal sketches, sepia photographs, smudged documents, and tattered cloth are visual mementos that encapsulate these individuals' emotional and historic journeys across time and space.
Text adapted from my proposed book and exhibition about the Jewish Diaspora are provided on several works noted with READ STORY.
